Developer _GIS Automation | 2 to 4 Year
Role Overview
We are looking for a Developer _GIS Automation (MicroStation MVBA ) who can build custom
automation tools, macros, and plugins to streamline GIS, LiDAR, and photogrammetry workflows.
This role is ideal for someone who goes beyond tool usage and can develop automation logic inside
MicroStation to optimize mapping and design processes.
Key Responsibilities
 Develop MVBA (MicroStation VBA) macros and custom tools for automating CAD/GIS
workflows
 Build and maintain custom plugins (.mvba projects) inside MicroStation
 Automate:
o Mapping workflows (LiDAR / Photogrammetry data processing)
o Layer/level management
o Feature extraction & geometry creation
 Integrate and process geospatial datasets within MicroStation environment
 Work closely with GIS teams to translate manual workflows into automated solutions
 Optimize performance of large datasets and batch processing tasks
 Support customization, debugging, and enhancement of existing tools
Required Skills (Must Have)
 Good experience in MicroStation (V8i / CONNECT Edition)
 Hands-on experience with MVBA / VBA scripting
 Solid understanding of:
o CAD elements, levels, references
o Geometry handling
 Experience in building:
o Macros
o Automation scripts
o Custom tools/plugins
Good to Have (High Preference)
 Exposure to GIS tools (QGIS / ArcGIS)
 Understanding of:
o LiDAR data processing
o Photogrammetry workflows
 Knowledge of spatial databases / geospatial data formats
